They want their hair back.
I've gone curly. Big curly. What? You didn't know I had curly hair?! That's because I've been straightening it for at least 8 years! I'm trying to embrace what the Lord has given me and trying to accept it as a blessing. Which means, fighting the frizz, taming the unruly, disciplining the tresses, and calming the disoriented locks.
It doesn't help that my children notice a vast change, although perhaps not a great improvement.
Oldest dd: Mom, what's up with your hair? Is your Chi broken?"
Me: No, I'm trying to embrace my natural curly girl.
Oldest dd: Not really working out for you too well, huh?
Soooooo, if you see someone that looks like she just escaped from 1985, but has a face similar to mine, just know, it's probably me. Maybe I should wear a name badge for awhile. Or maybe the seven children trailing behind me would be a giveaway....
